The Company

Over 40 years ago, Jerry Pair began representing a handful of decorative fabric lines in the South.  The first Jerry Pair showroom opened in 1970 at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC).  Jerry  was dedicated to providing the home furnishing community with the finest products and customer service available in the market.  Following the success of the Atlanta showroom, Jerry and longtime business partner Mavis Cahoon opened their second showroom in the Design District in Miami in 1971.  With the growth of the design community in southern Florida, Jerry Pair was invited in 1987 to be the anchor flagship tenant at the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) in Dania, Florida. In 1993, the company became the exclusive U.S. distributor of Jim Thompson fabrics.  Adding to its refined product offerings, they became the exclusive North American representative for Dedar fabrics from Milan, Italy in 1997.

In 1990 Dan Cahoon, Mavis’ son, joined the company and is now CEO of Jerry Pair & Associates. Beginning in 2003 the third Jerry Pair showroom was opened in the Design and Decoration building (D + D) in New York City. In 2006 Jerry Pair Leather, Inc. was started by Dan Cahoon and is now represented in every major market across the United States.

Each Jerry Pair showroom has become a destination for the discriminating designer. In addition to creating showrooms of unequaled beauty, Jerry Pair has been committed to providing its clients with outstanding customer service, extensive outside sales road programs and personalized response to their clients. They have developed a national reputation for these qualities.  During all these years, the central mission has remained the same – providing architects and interior designers with the most exceptional products and service available in the market.
